Broome Netball Association was inaugurated in 1977 by Pat Medlend and her committee of dedicated netballers. Pat was the inaugural president and remained in this role for 20 years.
Initially games were played on the one court based at the Catholic church with Father Mac accommodating the ladies. In the early eighties, Broome Netball Association moved to the old Tourist Bureau site next to the basketball Association.
Broome Netball Association relocated to the new Broome Recreation & Aquatic Centre when it opened in 2002.
From 2002 BNA has continued to grow as a successful sporting association in the Broome community.
